Night in with Baba and Dziadzi

Daddy went to the annual Wine and Beer tasting in Plainfield tonight with some co-workers so it was just a me and AJ night.  Instead of staying home and hanging out alone though, we made our way over to Baba and Dziadzi's for some yummy chicken wings and tasty dessert!  After dinner though was when the real fun started...

Dziadzi couldn't read the words so he kept making up stories as he would turn the page... AJ thought it was the most hilarious thing! He had the giggles... and let me tell you, nothing is better than hearing your own child's laughter!

This pic is so blurry, but you can see AJ's larger than life smile if you look close enough!

After story time, it was 'let's pretend we're napping' time!

Using Dziadzi has a human slide!

And lastly, as you can see from the window behind Dziadzi, Baba has all of her Halloween decorations out.  One of the decorations is a big 'glass' ball that has a witch in it that is motion and sound activated.  AJ had been trying all night to get the witch to 'activate' by himself and with a bit of encouragement by Baba, Dziadzi and myself - he was 'ah-chooing' all night long and finally 'ah-chooed' loud enough to get the witch to start all by himself! He was so proud of himself - as was I!
