Brooklyn Fair 2012

I mentioned to Michael that we should bring AJ to the Brooklyn Fair since I had never been and thought it would be a neat experience for AJ.  He was totally game for it especially when he found out one of his old co-workers 'Bella the Clown' was going to be there! 

I always thought it was a lot bigger than what it is - but I like it!  It's the perfect size!

Next we stopped in to see the cows and ended up watching some of them get their 'toenails' cut.  This guy, however, just wanted to lick/kiss AJ!

Spending Time with Auntie Lauren

Since Daddy was going out to dinner with some co-workers, AJ and I decided to go over to Auntie Lauren's for a quick swim and visit.  The water was a bit chilly so we only spent about 15-20 minutes in the pool, but it all worked out because AJ had way more fun playing with Quincy inside afterwards!  He kept giving him hugs and petting him - it was adorable to watch!

Cousin Story Time

As I was getting ready to leave Babcia and Dziadzi's house for work, Cioci Kimmy and I looked in the living room and found this:

Ride 'em Cowboy

Grandma and Grandpa are on vacation this week so Dziadzi took the day off of work today to watch AJ so I could go to work.  While we were getting ready to leave, Dziadzi decided to let AJ have a ride on the horsey.  He definitely liked it and I'm sure will be asking for more rides soon!

A Visit with my Aussie Friend

I met Matty back in 2003 when I studied abroad in Australia.  He was one of the college guys at Emmanuel College at the University of Queensland who helped the American kids transition and settle into Australian life while we were.  And he seriously is one of the nicest mates you will meet!  He came to visit the States back in 2004 and Kimmy and I took him for a visit to NYC and I also showed him some sites around CT.  Well, fast forward to 2012 and lots has happened since our last visit with him - marriages, kids, photography, etc.  What a surprise it was when I got an e-mail from him a few weeks back asking if we would be around today for a bit to catch up!  He and his wife, Carmen were in the States for a conference in San Diego and because Carmen hadn't been to the east coast yet, they decided to travel over our way!  Our visit with him, even though it was only for a few hours, was fantastic and it was so nice catching up with him and meeting Carmen!  Until we see each other again, Matty and Carmen! :)

 

Thomas the Train Chair

Both Katie and Allie have princess folding chairs that they keep at Babcia and Dziadzi's house and play school bus/train with.  (They line up the chairs one behind the other and pretend one is the driver/conductor and the other a passenger - I love their imaginations!).  Well, Babcia and Dziadzi didn't want AJ to feel left out so they went out and bought him a Thomas the Train chair.  We went over to their  house this afternoon and AJ just had to try it out!  I think he liked it!
