Christmas A Little Bit Later

Laurie and Stacey came over to celebrate Christmas with us tonight.  Miss Chloe got some adorable coral and navy onesies for the summer and AJ got a 50-piece farm set complete with a huge rock mountain, farm animals and palm trees.  Palm trees?!  Yes, palm trees.  Odd, I know - but AJ LOVES it and can't stop playing with it.  Laurie and Stace also brought over an activty for AJ - pipe cleaners and alphabet blocks. AJ made a few bracelets for Mommy and learned about the alphabet in the process.  It's a win-win!

Afternoon Across the Street

Babcia and Dziadzi left for a week-long vacation in Florida today so while I was checking on the house, I decided I would stop across the street at Aunt Joyce's house to see Laurie, Stacey and Matt.  I've been meaning to meet up with Stacey to drop off a stuffed giraffe that I had for her and since it was in the car, this afternoon was a perfect time to do it!  While we were there they were watching Camden, one of Mandi's boys, so AJ had not only a playmate with Cam, but also Laurie and Stacey too!  He had an absolute ball with everyone...  I think he might want to do it again soon!!

New Bath Toys

We finally broke open the package of foam letters, numbers and water animals that Stacey, AMy and Laurie got AJ for Easter.  Since AJ has been playing with the same bath toys for quite some time now, he was super excited for something new in the tub!

Bowling and Babysitting

A month or so ago, I made plans with Danelle and Dave to go out for a night of bowling.  We hadn't had a double date in quite some time and Daddy and I just wanted a night of fun and relaxation!  Instead of asking our usual babysitters, Grandma and Grandpa and Babcia and Dziadzi, we decided to go out on a limb and have Stacey and her boyfriend Matt come over and watch AJ!  This was a big step for us - someone else would be watching our sweet little boy!  But in the end, it ended up being more of a dogsitting evening for Stacey and Matt rather than a babysitting evening since we went out so late.  Before we left, I put AJ down for the night and made sure Stace and Matt knew what to do in the event of an emergency (always have to be prepared for anything, right?!).  After a few check-ins through text messages and a fun night of bowling, we came home to find our house still standing, Timber still breathing and AJ still sleeping.  I think our first night out with another family member baby -aka dog- sitting was a success!!  Thanks again to Stacey and Matt - you guys rock!!
