Auntie Carrie Fun

Auntie Carrie came over for a yummy dinner of spiral ham, twice baked sweet potatoes and broccoli trees! I'm not exactly sure what was going on tonight, but AJ willingly let Auntie Carrie hold him like three or four times and Miss Chloe, aka cricket, smiled for Carrie and even let her hold her. It was like a miracle on Holton Road tonight!

 

Cosmic Run

Tonight Carrie and I drove up to Rentschler Field for the Cosmic Run 5k.  We were super excited about it, but not so excited about the freezing cold weather!!  It had great potential - it was kind of like the Color Me Rad 5k I did last year, but was at night time and had black lights and glow in the dark color stations.  But unfortunately, I'm not sure if it was poor planning or just volunteers who got a bit excited during the beginning, but by the time we got to the color stations all of the glow powder was already gone.  Such a bummer.  And then the course was a bit muddy and rocky and absolutely did a number on my feet.  And lastly, the finish was so anti-climatic because there was no actual finish line - just a tent-type thing where everyone was gathering under to take pictures.  The one awesome thing about the 5k though was the loud electronic dance music - it was great jogging/walking to the EDM - it kept our spirit levels up even though we were a bit disappointed with the whole event.  We're not sure if we'll do it again or not....  Like Carrie and I said - AWESOME idea, terrible execution!

At the end of the day though, it was nice to be able to get out for a few hours with a great friend and then go out to dinner afterwards in Manchester!

Daddy had to go to bed early tonight because of work so Auntie Carrie, AJ and I headed out to Ruby Tuesday for an impromptu dinner date.

Cioci Kimmy had Auntie Carrie help decorate the Pirate and Princess cake for Katie and Allie's 5th and 3rd birthdays.  The final product came out awesome and tasted super yummy!!

Unfortunately I don't have a picture with the figurines on it, but still, it looks awesome!

Visit from 'Auntie' Carrie and Lilly

'Auntie' Carrie and Lilly came over again tonight for another visit.  (I know - two visits in one month - shocking!)  Carrie, Michael and I made two amazing quiches and Lilly made a cheese and pepperoni pizza.  After dinner, of course there was lots of girl talk between Carrie and I while AJ and Lilly played in the living room.  But then AJ wanted to get in on the girl talk....

He also wanted to let us know which coupons were good deals.

'Auntie' Carrie and Lilly came over last night and brought AJ's Christmas present, but AJ was already in bed for the night.  So this afternoon I had him sit down and open his present while I snapped a few photos to send to Carrie...

Happy Birthday Little Lilly!

Tonight we went over to Auntie Carrie's house to celebrate Lilly's 9th birthday.  Auntie Carrie cooked up (kind of!) a delicious pasta dinner and baked a yummy marble cake with chocolate frosting for everyone who attended.  We had lots of fun and are very thankful we were invited over to celebrate with my beautiful god-daughter!
