Relaxing Sunday

AJ's morning started out with feeding the ducks at the pond right in back of our villa with Babcia and Dziadzi.  Cioci Kimmy and I used to feed the ducks when we were younger so it was pretty cool to see our little ones following in our footsteps!

Then Dziadzi decided to give a little coaching to AJ

20130203-17
I don't think Allie was excited at all!

20130203-19
Maddie watched from the sidelines... maybe next year you'll be big enough, pumpkin!

20130203-20
After feeding the ducks, Cioci Kimmy found a hammock for the kiddos to sit on.

20130203-21
AJ isn't looking too thrilled to be hugged by Miss Allie.

20130203-22
I think he wants out!

20130203-36
After duck and hammock time, it was off to the playground that was just down the way from our villa.

Playing the drums with the help of Allie.

Daddy decided he wanted a turn on the slide...

Going down!

20130203-42
Wheeeeee!!!

20130203-44
Next it was AJ's turn with a little push from Allie.

20130203-45
...And he's off!

20130203-46
Such a big boy!

20130203-47
Looking down at another slide...

20130203-48
He was having so much fun!

20130203-49
We tried to get the kiddos to all look at the camera... clearly that didn't happen!

20130203-50
And we tried again... FAIL!  But at least they all look cute! :)

One more slide ride before lunchtime!

After all of AJ's morning fun with his cousins, the ducks and playground, we packed up and headed out to meet up with Michael's old childhood friend, Kurt who now lives in Orlando.  We went for lunch at BrickHouse Tavern on International Drive and the food was super delicious!  On the car ride to the restaurant AJ fell asleep and was so exhausted that when I took him out of the carseat, he proceeded to sleep on my shoulder for the next 30-40 minutes while we got situation and ordered our meals!  (Kiddo was tired from all of his morning activities!!)  After lunch we parted ways and headed back to the Vistana to meet up with everyone else for an afternoon at the pool!

The water was nice and warm, but the wind outside of the pool made it a bit chilly if your whole body wasn't in the pool.

SeaWorld!

Our first full day of vacation was spent at SeaWorld!  It had been quite some time since I had visited SeaWorld (about twenty years) and it was both Michael and AJ's first time.

Our morning started off with a character breakfast with Shamu at the Terrace Garden Buffet.

We then made our way over to Elmo Rocks!, which was a cute show with Elmo and his friends (including the Cookie Monster, who AJ likes at the present moment!) and their quest to have a rock concert.  We didn't take any pics of the actual show, but I took this pic of AJ hanging out with Daddy before the show.

AJ and Allie cuddles before the show started

After Elmo and his friends rocked it out for us, we made our way over to Shamu Stadium to watch the One Ocean show.  This show was absolutely amazing!!  It's a bummer that the trainers can't get in the water with the killer whales anymore; but nonetheless, this show was top-notch!  And even though we sat in the Soak Zone, we were in the last row and lucked out with not an ounce of water on us when the show was finished!

Before the show started, we could text in a name which would show up on the large screen! There's AJ...

20130202-02
And Daddy...

20130202-05
...And Mommy...

20130202-06
...And Katie & Allie...  ( we did text in Maddie's name, but it never showed up! :(   )

20130202-45
These whales just kept doing trick after trick...

20130202-55
Time to refuel and get some yummy snacks.

20130202-58
All three whales in sync. So AWESOME!

After our visit to the stadium ended, we headed over to wait in line to see the Kratt Brothers!  Cioci Kimmy had looked up events at SeaWorld before we went down to Orlando and found out that the Kratt Brothers would be at SeaWorld this particular Saturday and my nieces, Katie and Allie just so happen to LOVE their show, Wild Kratts!  Once Cioci Kimmy told them they would be seeing the Kratt Brothers, they talked about it nonstop (and this was a month or two before our trip!)!!  So of course we made sure to get tickets to their show to see Chris and Martin!  After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, we made our way into the Nautilus Theater and watched the pre-show of hula-hoopers and guys juggling hats!  And right when the Kratt brothers came on stage, AJ had fallen fast asleep on my shoulder.  He missed the entire performance!  Luckily for us, both Katie and Allie were wide awake for the show and did not miss a beat! They loved seeing the Kratt Brothers!!

After the Wild Kratts show, it was then ride time!!  The girls went on a couple of rides while AJ continued to nap in his stroller.  And then it was time for Mommy, Daddy, Cioci Kimmy and Uncle Jason to ride on Manta and Kraken, two awesome roller coasters.  Thanks to Babcia and Dziadzi for watching the kiddos so we could have a little bit of fun!  A few more exhibits with turtles, sharks, feeding the stingrays and fishes for the kiddos and we called it a day!  We spent from opening to close at the park and we were exhausted!!

Next up... a day of rest at the pool!

Airport Time!

Today we are headed to Orlando, FL for a fun and relaxing family vacation with Babcia, Dziadzi, Cioci Kimmy, Uncle Jason and the girls.  On our way to the airport, we stopped at Dunkin Donuts and I picked up some munchkins for the kiddos and Daddy and I got breakfast.  And once we filled our bellies, it was off to T.F. Green airport!!  Once we got there, we realized how early we were (Gasp - me...early?! I know!!) so Daddy, AJ and I set up camp on some benches near the entrance so we would see the rest of the gang when they got to the airport.  After a few minutes, AJ got a little bored so I decided to go sit by the area that overlooked the baggage claim area which just so happened to have a glass banister that AJ could see through.  This kept him occupied for awhile as did him running back and forth from Mommy to Daddy and back again!

Enjoying a glazed munchkin with Mommy

'AJ.. you have a little leftover glaze on your upper lip!'
