Buttonwood Sunflower for Wishes

After the rummage sale, we headed out to Buttonwood's Sunflower for Wishes festival with Cioci Kimmy, Katie, Allie, Marisa and her daughter, Riley.  Our first order of business when we arrived was the hay ride!

There they are!

The cows came right up to us and were demanding their food with some loud 'moos'!

AJ telling Mr. Cow he doesn't have anymore hay/grass to feed him!

The kids loved how close the cows were

Katie found some hay to feed Mr. Cow

Munch munch munch

We got to see this baby calf that was only one day old!  It's crazy how they already can be self-sufficient  at only one day old!

Another photo op of the girls

Now on to the sunflowers!

Sunflowers all around

After the hay ride was finished, we were planning on getting ice cream and then heading out to the field to try and get some more sunflower pics.  But one look at the dark and gloomy clouds that were rolling in convinced us to take pictures first and then go get ice cream....

We were super smart in taking pictures first!  After we were finished with the sunflowers, we headed back to the parking lot and dropped our camera gear off in the cars and then moved the cars closer to the ice cream line.  We then got in line for yummy ice cream and waited! Not more than 3 minutes had passed as we were in line and the skies opened up and we were drenched!  Luckily though, Marisa and Riley live only a few minutes away from the farm so after we ordered our ice cream we packed up and headed over to their house.  There, we ate our yummy ice cream and the kids had some play time! Such a fun afternoon!

Rummage Sale Finds

Today was the start of the annual Rummage Sale at my old elementary school.  My mom, myself and Kimmy usually hit up the sale to score some good deals and this year did not disappoint.  I picked up a little tikes toybox, some bum around clothes for AJ and books while my Mom went crazy with Halloween costumes and Kimmy went nuts with toys and books for the girls, including some My Little Pony toys!  After we finished at the sale, we went back to Babcia and Dziadzi's house and tried on some of the costumes/accessories...

Fun Before Bedtime

We were all hanging out in the living room tonight before bedtime and I captured a few quick shots of AJ on the couch with me with my iPhone.  (They are not the best quality by any means, but AJ's silliness makes them blog worthy!)

Plucking Timber?!

Despite AJ plucking Timber in this video, you can definitely see how much he loves his big furry friend!

Hanging Out on my Playground

While Daddy was cutting the grass this afternoon, AJ and I headed out to play on the playground we got from Katie's old preschool.  The gentle breeze and warm sun made for a perfect time to get some fresh air!

Learning his way around the new playground

That's not how you go up the slide, silly!

Hi Dad!

My cutie!

Trying to go up the wrong way again on the smaller slide!

Hi Mom!

So handsome!

'I can totally make my way all the way up.. watch Mom!'

Almost there!

He did it!

Now to make my way down...

Of course I'm not gonna go down the right way!

Laughs!

Look at me go....

And I'm down!

Just a cute up-close and personal shot

After hew was done with the playground, he decided to crawl around and explore...

..Then he decided to come back a bit closer to Momma...

..and find a stick!

'Oooh this looks like fun!'

I think he was trying to teach the birds a lesson...

Still teaching!

Now he's singing to them!

Smiling for his Momma!
