Snowy Snow

It's been a brutal, snowy winter.  With Chloe being so young, we've stayed inside most of this winter and I haven't been into taking too many snow pictures outside because I'm just sick of it.  But I decided today I should at least try to document the snow so both AJ and Chloe can see how crazy tall the snow was this winter...so here we go....

 

Every day I'm Shovelin'

Michael is away on business which left me to shovel the driveway.  I don't use power tools or tractors to clear snow, I am old-fashioned - I use my two arms and a shovel.  This picture was taken at 5:30am after I was shoveling for about an hour and only had about 5 minutes of help from my Dad, who came up to our house after he cleared his two driveways.  Thanks Dad for coming to help... I surprised you and had it almost all done!  [I'm so lucky to have my Daddy.. he's the best and takes such good care of me!]

Snow, again.

We got yet another snow storm tonight.  I haven't had a chance to take very many pictures of the snow and the kiddos out in it with having my little Chloe so I snapped a quick pic of Timber in the snow tonight.  The amount of snow we have is just insane.  Please make it stop, Mother Nature!

Power Wheels!

While we were outside playing in the snow, AJ decided he wanted to try and ride his PowerWheels Jeep.  Unfortunately, it's the jeep that Cioci Kimmy got for him but needs a little work so it doesn't exactly work.  AJ didn't care though - he hopped right on and pretended to drive!  I love his imagination!

Snow, snow everywhere!

Although a bunch of the snow has melted from the Blizzard due to the rain we've been having, there's still a lot leftover!

Our mailbox is almost entirely covered by snow!

Fun in the Rainy Snow

I definitely did not win mother of the year status this winter for taking AJ out in the snow!  It was only today - a few days after the blizzard - that I took AJ outside to experience the snow that had fallen.  I felt like if I took him out before some of the snow had melted, I would have lost my son in the white abyss!  The snow was so stinkin' tall - taller than my AJ!  So even though it was a bit rainy today, we still went out and had fun in the rainy snow anyway!

Even with everything that had melted already, the snow was still almost as tall as AJ!

He had a little fall while trying to navigate the slushy mess which explains his wet bottom!

And AJ proceeded to try and demolish those snow castles with his shovel!

Then he found a huge puddle of melted snow which he thought was super fun to play in.

We found the birds on the feeder... they were quite sing-songy today!  Hopefully spring is coming soon!

Aftermath of Blizzard 2013

We woke up this morning to about 25-30 inches of snow outside!!  Even after going outside last night and shoveling about five inches of snow, when we got up this morning you couldn't even tell I had done anything... It was like my hard work was all just a dream!
