Have I mentioned that time is flying by at warp speed?! Another month has passed and our little boy is continuing to grow and become more independent! He is learning to say his cousins' names - 'Kay' for his beloved Katie, 'Al' for Allie and 'Maaah' for Maddie. I say his beloved Katie because every time we go over Baba's house, he asks if Katie is there. He sees her picture in their downstairs living room and without fail will ask me everytime about her. Don't worry though - he loves his Allie and Maddie too! Allie and him are T-R-O-U-B-L-E together and he loves to gives Maddie kisses on her forehead. (He even lets me hold her without him getting upset!) He has learned to ask for help if he can't figure something out or needs me to do something for him. He is loving the iPad and Mr. Potato Head and his new animal matching/puzzle game. We're trying really hard with numbers and he will repeat them after me, but when we count it usually goes something like this '1, 3, 3, 4, 5'. He'll catch on eventually - we're not worried! AJ's favorite television show at the moment is Wild Kratts! [Why couldn't he like them
before we went to Florida?!] He loves to dance and sing along with the theme song and at the very end of the song when they shout out 'Wild Kratts!' he prepares himself - he bends down early enough and sits there until it's time and then shouts 'Kratts!' when it's time - it's adorable! He has now learned that we can pause a movie or a recorded tv show when we leave the room... so every time we leave the living room to go to his room or let Timber outside, I hear 'pau pau'. He does not want to miss a beat of a show or movie! He is loving the moon lately - every time we go outside we have to look up in the sky for the moon. And the first thing he notices when we put his turtle light on before bedtime is the moon and then he'll tell me there are 'stah' (stars) too. And another nighttime ritual that has developed is AJ telling me he wants to see 'G' (GG) and give her 'hug'. We paid GG a visit a few times this past month and ever since the first visit, he has been wanting to see GG and give her lots of hugs. It melts my heart every. single. time. he says it.
Happy twenty-one months our sweet AJ. We love you more than you'll ever know!
[Editor's Note - Took these pics a couple days after his official twenty-one month birthday. But again, better late than never, right?!]
Heading down to his favorite part of our yard - the field!
AJ being...well, AJ. Silly as can be!
'You can't catch me Mom!'
He saw something in the distance.
A little blurry, but still a cute picture.
We heard a plane overhead.
AJ 'sitting' at his picnic table.
'Smelling' the flowers.
I see you through the fence, little man!
Adorable.
Even cuter when smiling!
Next it was time to bring out the ball!
He ran while holding it.
Then kicked it.
Then Daddy joined in on the fun!
These two have too much fun together!
'Mom, did you take the picture yet?!'
Inspecting his shadow.
Wheelbarrow fun!
I love the innocence of this photo.
So cute.
We made a cute little boy!
