Picnic with the Bourque's

Devon and her family have finally moved back from AZ!!  It's been about 8 years since they've been in MA so Brian's mom had a summer picnic to celebrate them being back on the east coast!   It was great seeing them and I hope we have a lot more get togethers in the future now that we only live about an hour away from each other.  AJ and Aubrey had a lot of fun in the kids pool they had set up and Chloe was excited to try blueberries for the first time (she liked them!).  One of the best parts of the picnic was the zombie game!  One of Brian's cousins transformed into a zombie and was trying to catch the kids... Despite all of the screams and shrieks (and laughs!), all of the kiddos loved running away from him and hiding only to have him go after them.  I know AJ will want Daddy to play that game soon! haha

After a few hours we packed and left and it was great knowing they are only an hour drive away now versus a plane ride!  We hope to get the kids together again soon!

Random sidenote: on the way home, AJ asked for a hamburger. I got him one and he took three bites of it. I was in shock!  He was super tired and ended up falling asleep after those three bites, but he did ask me to save it for later when we get home. It's currently sitting in the fridge waiting for him for tomorrow. So proud of our little AJ who is branching out and eating new foods! (This last Thursday he ate steak without me having to force him to eat it and he actually liked it! Yes!!!)

Meeting Benjamin

Today we made the trek up to Nashua, NH to visit with my friend, Courtney and her husband, Luis and their newborn son, Benjamin.  I first met Courtney back in the first semester of my freshman year at Assumption College in accounting class.  Courtney left soon after the first semester, but somehow and someway we have kept in touch over the years.  We even both studied abroad in Australia!!  Anyhow, Luis was in town for a work meeting and so Courtney and Benjamin made the trip back to her hometown and her family had a little party for all her relatives and friends to finally meet their son.  It was so great to see both Courtney and Luis and meet Benjamin, who is absolutely adorable!  Until next time...

Buddies and Babies

Buddy and I were finally able to schedule a visit with each other to have our little girls meet.  (AJ stayed home with Daddy for a boys day!)  Sadie was born on November 30th so she's about a month younger than Chloe, but you definitely wouldn't know that by the looks of the two when we put them next to each other - Sadie is just a tad bit bigger!!  The girls were absolutely adorable together and loved having playtime on their tummies.  Chloe was quite vocal and was squealing and trying to talk to Sadie, while Sadie was thinking 'what the heck is this girl being so loud for?'  I can't wait to have a girls day again so Buddy and I can catch up and the girls can play!

A Visit with Lili and Meagan

After my doctor's appointment, I picked up AJ and we headed over to Meagan and Lili's house.  It has been FOREVER since we got the kiddos together and had girl talk so our visit was long overdue!

Playground Time

We have been keeping things a bit quiet around here about this subject, but it's almost completely out in the open now amongst our family and friends so it's probably not a big deal if I mention it here...  But we're in the process of selling our house!  We're not leaving North Franklin - just moving about 1.5 miles down the road from where we are to a house that is basically our dream home!  We are very excited and keeping our fingers crossed that our current home will sell pretty quickly.  So today while we had a showing, I took Timber and AJ down to the playground at the end of our road.  During our time there, AJ met a friend - I think her name was Seraphina - and they decided to play on the swing-thingy together.  (That's its technical name, right?! haha)

It's been quite some time since my old co-worker Sherie and I have seen each other so we finally decided to get the kiddos together at Seamster Park in East Hampton.  We got to meet Vinny (her youngest) for the first time and she got to see my LS2 baby belly!  It was a beautiful day out and with a park as nice as this one, we couldn't go wrong!
