AJ's 3rd Birthday Celebration

What a difference a day makes! From thunderstorms and no power yesterday to a gorgeous (and not humid!) sunny day today... we really lucked out when we rescheduled AJ's party to today! Family and friends gathered to celebrate our little man, dino style! My heart is full from all of the love we had surrounding us today... Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate our first born!

The dino dig was a big hit - as well as the dinosaur glaciers, which lasted

all about two seconds in the hot summer sun in the water table!

Kaleigh wasn't too into playing the scared card... but then the wind blew and Mr. T-Rex started to fall into her and the next picture is priceless...

She legitimately got scared and thought he was trying to get her! It was so funny!

Even Uncle Steve wanted to take a picture with T-Rex.

Riley wasn't too phased that there was a T-Rex behind her!

Cioci Kimmy tried to get AJ to take a picture because he wasn't so interested at first...

But he started to warm up a little bit... luckily Mr. T-Rex is friendly and doesn't bite!

THREE YEARS OLD!

1,578,240 minutes. 1096 days. 36 months. THREE YEARS OLD. That's how old our little boy Alexander James is today. It's been quite the year for our little guy. He went from being an only child to being a big brother, a role that he has completely embraced! He went from talking in broken phrases to speaking in complete sentences and being able to carry on a full conversation. He went from attending swim classes with Mommy to being in the pool all by himself. He went from being super picky with food to eating a bit more variety of food. He is the master of the ABCs, 123s and his puzzle map of the United States. His favorite activities include playing with his puzzles, reading books (especially ones about dinosaurs and Star Wars), playing on his (not Mommy's!) iPad, and spending time with his cousins. If AJ could live outside, he totally would! He loves his outside time so much and it's always a struggle to get him back in the house. He has learned how to ride a tricycle and move around on his swivel car with his big cousins at Baba and Dziadzi's. He's also learned how to drive a PowerWheels Jeep - watch out world, AJ is behind the wheel! He loves to shake his booty (thanks to his cousin, Allie!) and give lots of hugs and kisses. He's a little shy when it comes to meeting new people, but he warms up pretty quickly. His eyes light up with excitement when you mention Chloe, Little Einsteins, Baba and Dziadzi, Grandma and Grandpa, Mickey Mouse and dinosaurs. His favorite drink is milk and his favorite food is french fries. He loves to to jump in the crib with Chloe and 'hang out' with her every morning. His favorite persons to make jealous are Mommy and Daddy, especially when we ask for kisses or for a bite of his food! And his favorite thing to ask me every morning after I dress him is 'Mommy, how do I wook?' My response is always 'AJ you look handsome' because, after all, he is the most handsome little boy ever!

Alexander James - The growth we have seen and experienced with you over the past year has amazed us beyond words. You have completely embraced your role as big brother and have grown into such a big boy. The love you have and show to everyone around you melts our hearts and makes us so proud. You definitely make our eyes shine a bit brighter, our smiles a bit bigger and our hearts overflow with love for you. Happy 3rd Birthday buddy! Mommy, Daddy and Chloe love you so much!!

Today is our little guys 3rd birthday! We were supposed to have his birthday party today, but unfortunately the threat of thunderstorms made us cancel and reschedule for tomorrow. So instead, we had a low key morning at home and then went over to Baba and Dziadzi's to celebrate since we had lost power!
