Feeding Chloe

AJ shared some yogurt drops with Chloe today and even fed them directly to her.  What a thoughtful and sweet big brother!

 

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Since Father's Day and Michael's birthday fell on the same day, we didn't have a separate celebration for just Michael.  Instead, we went out with our families to Toyo in Colchester for some yummy hibachi!  Michael even got to use his new light-up chopsticks - he was psyched!

He was super excited about it, but refused to look at the camera - so this is what I got!

Yogurt Drops!

Chloe tried yogurt drops for the first time today.  I have to break off little pieces and then feed those to her because the whole drop itself is a bit big for Little Miss, but I think she is a fan!

Once we were done with the drops, Chloe put her two little fingers in her mouth. 

And before I knew it, she had soothed herself to sleep.

Sweet Potatoes

Miss Chloe tried sweet potatoes today and they were a hit!  She's just like her big brother, AJ who loved sweet potatoes as well.

Solids!

Dr. Long gave us the go-ahead to start Miss Chloe on solids.  So when we got home, I broke out the oatmeal and some of my milk and made a slurry for her.  She quite enjoyed it and I have a feeling solid foods are going to be a big hit with our little girl!

Lobsters!

Grandma and Grandpa treated us to a lobster feast tonight!  The only bad thing was that AJ slept through it all!

These lobsters were HUGE!  All 8lb-ers or more!

I was only able to eat the claws - so much meat!

After AJ woke up, he was quite interested in the lobsters on the table.  We had already devoured the claws, but the body and tails were still in tact so even though AJ thought they were crabs (he loves crabs!), we showed him all the parts of the lobster.  And Grandma was obsessed with showing him the green poop on the tail - absolutely ridiculous!  Luckily for me, my child realized how gross the poop was and didn't want to touch it - but he did think it hilarious and would crack up every time Grandma talked about it or pointed to it!

Donut!

Daddy has been working third shift for the past few days and on his way home this morning he picked up some yummy treats from Dixie Donuts. AJ definitely dug right in and loved the sugar rush!

Pasta!!

FritoLay was having a crappy day with mixed product (7 events in 14 days..whoa!) and manufacturing was shut down because of it so Daddy had to stay at work super late today to try and fix some things.  Instead of us eating alone at home, we stayed at Baba and Dziadzi's with the girls (Cioci Kimmy had her deposition) and had some yummy angel hair and meatballs!

Ripe Strawberry!

When we went out to check the strawberry plants today, this is what we found... a ripe strawberry!  And boy, was it yummy!

We have a couple more coming too!

Popcorn!

ANd just as much as AJ is his Daddy's son, AJ is totally my kid too.  He loves movie popcorn just like his mommy!  Michael and I went to see The Hangover III and brought back some 'corn' for our little one to enjoy and boy did he love it!

The dessert menu tonight consisted of mini eclairs for the little ones.  AJ sure had no problem licking the chocolate off of the top, but leaving the rest for Mommy!
